Alex is a trained TV and Radio journalist with a strong background in news reporting and presenting. Alex is now the weekend weather presenter on ITV Tyne Tees and Border and also often brings us the forecast during the week too.
She is an extremely confident performer and equally happy doing live or pre- recorded work.
Alex was the first person to present the news at Tyne Tees’ new flagship studios as well as anchoring the main programme from the launch of The Sage Gateshead.
She has covered many of the region’s top stories in her career, from the Queen opening the Millennium Bridge on Tyneside, to high profile court cases and other major events, always with professionalism and integrity.
She started her career at BBC Radio Lancashire before becoming a reporter and presenter at ITV Border in Carlisle.
She has reported for Sky News and the BBC News Channel and has spent the last nine years at ITV Tyne Tees as a reporter and presenter.
During her career she has also interviewed many celebrities and presented several half hour documentaries. They have included the subject of carers and two ITV campaigns on cleaning up communities.
